Wee Fairy Tales Sculptor Shirley Ann Mackillop and her husband Andy, visited Orkney Faerie Museum and Gallery on the Orcadian Island of Westray recently. Checking out her own creations of wonderful one of kind sculptures of Faerie and Mermaids, Shirley seemed very impressed with the museum. Stunned with the scenery of Orkney, she vowed to return with both her sons next time, and also was given a brief tour of Westray, including the castle and Quoygrew Viking dig.

Shirley also gave Neil a few sculpting tips for his Mermaid efforts, which started life as a Faerie with great legs! But Neil's wife decided it had to be a mermaid, so the great legs had to go! Neil hopes the mermaid will be able to join Shirley's Merfolk in the not too distant future!
